Resolve a connection problem

Reset Internet Explorer settings


  1. Close all Internet Explorer and Explorer windows that are currently open.
  2. Start Internet Explorer.
    Note If you are running Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, start Internet Explorer from the desktop. Changing your settings will affect both Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer that you start from the desktop.
  3. Tools menu, tap or click Internet options. If you don't see the Tools menu, press Alt.
  4. In the Internet Options window, tap or click the Advanced tab.
  5. Tap or click Reset.
  6. When Internet Explorer finishes applying the default settings, tap or click Close, and then tap or click OK.
  7. Exit and then start Internet Explorer.

Empty all caches


In case of connection problems, clear all caches with the below procedure. Then restart your PC.
In your Internet Explorer browser, select the Menu Extra (Tools) and select Internet Options.

  • Select General and delete the history
  • Select Content and delete the caches SSL

Empty the Java caches


  • Go into the control panel and click on Java
  • Select the settings of the temporary files
  • Select ‘delete files’

Advanced settings


  • The setting TLS 1.2 has to be activated.
  • The setting SSL 2.0 has to be desactivated.

Trusted sites


In the Internet options ==> Security ==> Trusted Sites. Check that the level of security has been put on ‘medium’ and that the button ‘protected mode’ has been unticked/cleared.
Verify that the following sites are mentioned in your trusted sites:

  • https://ebanking.prod.multiline.lu
  • https://login.prod.multiline.lu
  • https://sign.prod.multiline.lu
  • https://upload.prod.multiline.lu
  • https://download.prod.multiline.lu
  • https://pki.isabel.be
  • https://ocsp.entrust.net
  • https://ca.luxtrust.lu
  • https://ltgroot.ocsp.luxtrust.lu
  • https://crl.luxtrust.lu
  • https://ssl.ocsp.luxtrust.lu
  • https://orely.luxtrust.com

Authorise the cookies


Add multiline.lu in the list of authorized sites to use cookies.

  • Open Internet Options
  • Go in Privacy --> ’Sites’
  • Enter ‘multiline.lu’ then select Allow

Uploading/downloading the LuxTrust certificate


Check via the icon in the Menu bar that the certificate has been downloaded correctly.
Double-click on this icon in order to start the Gemalto Tool. In this tool, click on ‘Certificates’

  • select your card reader
  • insert your PIN code
  • select  Register All

Verify the downloading of the certificate


Open Internet Explorer

  • Select Tools, then Internet Options
  • Select Content, then Certificates
  • Go into the Tab ‘Personal ‘and verify the presence of the 2 certificates ‘Luxtrust qualified CA’
